Artist Statement

Cory is a Master Pastelist and Mixed Media Artist based in Everett, WA. Her artwork embodies an abstract, non-representational, and intuitive style. Cory’s work explores the interplay of lines, shapes, and colors and finds beauty in repurposing. She aims to create a dialogue between chaos and harmony, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork uniquely. The absence of a defined narrative allows for personal interpretation, encouraging a connection that is both individual and universal. She uses bold colors and dynamic compositions to challenge conventional boundaries and provoke introspection. Each piece emerges from a spontaneous exploration of materials, driven by intuition and the subconscious.
