PremierAmy Ferron – Artist’s Bio My mixed media art is influenced by my decades as a master quilter. It informs my painting style where I translate from fabric into paint and collage. With this process I create my own fantastic worlds. I play with the papers to define space with light and dark. My paintings and collages have been shown at the Whatcom Museum, Cascadia Art Museum, San Juan Museum of Art, Washington State Convention Center, Seattle City Hall, Anacortes Art Festival and many other local galleries and juried shows.

Artist Statement
Amy Ferron – Artist’s Bio Each object in nature is individual and unique. I look at grasses, flowers, and seaweeds and try to capture their beauty and combine them in a unique and playful world. Flowers bloom in the dark or commune with the stars. A powerful sun orchestrates plants growing behind a garden wall. Salish seaweeds move gently through a dark seabed, and bull kelp dance as they seek sunlight. My aim is for each piece to evoke a feeling of hope and joy - for the viewer to delight in nature and the struggles and wonders of being alive.
