Artist Statement

grew up in a creative family where music, theater, performance, and storytelling were part of everyday life. My own path has taken me through running a creative business, earning an MFA, working in film production, and eventually finding my central form of expression in painting. Those experiences continue to influence the cinematic and narrative quality of my work. For more than fifteen years, I have practiced Dzogchen meditation. Its emphasis on presence, openness, and awareness informs the stillness beneath even my most whimsical scenes. I paint original acrylic works on canvas rooted in magical realism and symbolic storytelling. Anthropomorphic animals gather around tables, powerful women embody quiet strength, and familiar landscapes open into imagined worlds. I want each painting to offer more than an image: a pause, a feeling of connection, and the beginning of a conversation.
