Artist Statement
I never planned to paint. In 2016, I felt an urge I couldn't ignore, and I've followed it ever since. Each piece holds the emotion and energy of the moment it was made. Having lived in Iran, Germany, Canada, and now Seattle, I carry many places with me, and they show up in my color, gesture, and story. Being self-taught lets me work through curiosity and play. I hope viewers feel something of what I felt while painting, and find a bit of their own story there too.
