Patricia J Moss

As an artist and counselor, my goal is to practice mindfulness, explore perspective and embrace personal empowerment. I am fascinated with the impact of nature on the human psyche and the healing aspects of both art and nature.
Through the years, these characteristics have remained my primary focus and a continued passion. I believe continued learning is essential and by following our passions we become the best possible versions of ourselves. It is through this journey we find commonality and meaning. I hope my art shows pathways to find community, adventure, and resilience through the journeys depicted.
My current project is a collection of paintings that depict viewpoints from parks and hikes in the PNW. Whether is it looking up from the forest floor toward a mushroom, through the roots of a moss-covered tree or across a vista on the PCT, my goal is to take observers along on my adventure. Using oil paint and traditional glazing techniques to display translucency and depth as well as capture moments of tranquility, I enjoy helping others reconnect with the beauty that surrounds us.
