I am a contemporary impressionist. I want my work to be inviting and open to the interpretation of the viewer. There are many aspects to consider when you do a painting: color, value, composition, and texture. All are important to having a successful painting. Emphasizing light and emotion are my current focuses, with influence from Russian Impressionists. I have been making art my whole life. Art is an exploration of personal expression through the media of drawing and painting. Art enriches our lives.
