Schack Art Center is seeking artwork for the 23rd Juried Art Exhibition!
Important Dates
May 1st at midnight: Entry Deadline
May 17th by 5pm: Notifications Emailed
June 7, 10am-4:30pm: Artwork Drop Off
June 15, Exhibition Opening Day, with reception 5-8pm. Awards Presentation 6:30pm
August 27th, 12pm – 4:30pm: Pick up Artwork
Eligibility
Entry is open to all artists with original works created within the last two years and not previously shown at the Schack Art Center gallery or store. All items must be available for sale. A 40% commission will be charged for all items sold.
Media
All works must fall into one of the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Mixed Media, Printmaking, Calligraphy, Fiber Arts, Jewelry, Ceramics, Woodworking, Glass, Stone Sculpture, and Metal Sculpture.
Entry Fees
A non-refundable entry fee of $15 per entry is required.
Conditions
Two-dimensional work must be suitably framed to gallery quality standards, wired and ready to hang. No fast or clip frames of any nature will be accepted. Oversized pieces will be accepted at the discretion of the jurors, dependent upon available display space. Schack Art Center reserves the right to refuse any work it deems unsuitable (size, value, fragile nature, etc.), or any work that is not identical to the digital image.
Selection Procedure
A maximum of three pieces per artist may be submitted for jurying. All entrants will be juried from digital images. Awards will be judged from the original works of art.
Accepted Works
Work must be delivered to the gallery, unpacked, labeled, with prepared paperwork on Wednesday June 7th, 10am – 4:30pm. Shipped work must arrive by Wednesday, June 7 by 5pm, via UPS and FedEx only. Work must be shipped pre-paid in a sturdy and reusable container. Artists are responsible for all insurance of their work to and from the Schack Art Center. In order for work to be returned, a pre-paid return shipping label must be enclosed.
Pick-up Dates
Sunday, August 27th, 12 – 4:30pm. Works not claimed at this time will become the property of the Schack Art Center.
Photography
The Schack Art Center reserves the right to photograph entries for the purposes of documentation, education and publicity.
Non-Liability
While every precaution will be taken to insure the safety and security of artwork, the Schack Art Center will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any piece.
