Caryn Friedlander | Selected Works

Born in New York City, Caryn Friedlander has long called Washington State home. Her study of painting and East Asian art history at the University of Washington, along with a Monbusho Fellowship to study art in Japan, continues to inform her approach to gesture and space.

Friedlander’s work is currently featured in Decades in the Making: Ten Years of SOLA Awardees at the Tacoma Art Museum, following her receipt of the 2025 SOLA Award from Artist Trust. We are pleased to celebrate this recognition with a selection of both new and existing work by Friedlander at ArtX Contemporary!
