Painting small pieces is actually more challenging than creating larger work. In my new series I’m interested in creating space that the viewer can roam in. I created a physical space in my studio where I could hang objects and study the effects of different lighting. With each subsequent canvas the idea developed, from flat “objects” to more 3-dimensional forms. I’m also interested in color relationships.
