Kelsey Lang(Kelsey Lang)(@krlang_art)
Although art has always been a central thread in her life, Kelsey only recently began claiming the title of artist. A cross country move and the loss of nearly all her art supplies forced her to strip her practice down to its essence. With limited space and resources, she began experimenting with charcoal powder and intuitive mark making, allowing process and instinct to guide her rather than perfection or external expectation. This shift became a turning point, marking the beginning of what she describes as her Awakening. Follow on Instagram @krlang_art for updates on recent works and links to her portfolio and shop. KRLang Artworks studio is located in downtown Port Townsend (929 Water St, Unit B4).

Artist Statement
Kelsey Lang is a visual artist that works primarily in charcoal. She creates deeply symbolic imagery that blends elements of the natural world with introspective, psychological narratives. Her work often carries a dark aesthetic that is balanced by themes of growth and resilience. Each piece is rooted in personal experience and emotional processing, representing a stage in the ongoing journey of self-discovery. She uses art as a means of translating the intangible into the tangible. Creating is both an act of expression and a way of understanding herself and the world more clearly. She invites viewers to sit with discomfort, honor their inner voice, and recognize the quiet power found in unraveling and becoming something new.
