Discover how to create gorgeous, luminous monoprints in warm encaustic wax. You need not be an “artist or printmaker”! Learn some encaustic basics while exploring exciting printmaking techniques with beautiful, pigmented encaustic wax. This direct “paint-to-plate” approach is very user-friendly, and you will be creating lovely monoprints in no time!
We will be covering the following techniques: “additive” and “subtractive” methods, ghost images, how to layer images, use of stencils, silicone color shapers, and more! Also covered: the different qualities of various printmaking papers, and how to “present” your prints to friends or family. Just in time for the holidays! ALL LEVELS
