Joys of Plein Air Painting in Watercolor with Geoff Allen

Experience the magic of watercolor in the open air during this three-day workshop at Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio. Join artist Geoff Allen as he guides you through capturing the moment, color, and mood of Whidbey Island’s beautiful landscapes.

Through daily demos and hands-on practice, you’ll learn how to control moisture, mix color confidently, and master timing for luminous watercolor effects. The class includes one day in the studio and two days painting outdoors, focusing on simplifying composition, creating atmosphere, and expressing your unique artistic voice. Geoff’s personal feedback and instruction will help you strengthen your brushwork, value judgment, and expressive mark-making for vibrant, spontaneous paintings.
