6:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Shop Indigenous art direct from Native makers in Belltown. Friday, Aug 14, 6–9 PM at Native Action Network, 55 Bell St #201, Seattle. Free entry.

Native Action Network welcomes you to the Native Art Market, a Friday evening event in the heart of Belltown where Indigenous artists sell their work directly to the community. Visit between 6:00 and 9:00 PM to explore original art, formline designs, jewelry, textiles, and other handmade goods. Meet the artists, ask about their techniques, materials, and know that every purchase supports the Native creator who made it.

This month we’re featuring Gonzalo N. Pelayo Jr. — "Guy" — a Tlingit formline, portrait, and multi-media artist born in Juneau, Alaska, with ancestral roots in Sitka. Raised among Tlingit design and the stories of his Elders, Gonzalo works in portraiture and in fine art assembled from both natural and industrial elements. After years showing at Native fairs and powwows along the West Coast, he is opening his portfolio to the public under his own studio name, GP Designs.

The market is free and open to everyone. Bring a friend, bring your family, and come support Native artists in Seattle.
