I am a mostly self taught artist who was exposed to fused and flat glass art at an early age. I opened my own stained glass studio in the '80s in Woodinville where we lived and raised three children. Glass is a wonderful art medium because there are so many different aspects to it. Flat, sandblasted, blown, painted and fused are a few. I've been drawn to nature since my childhood and try to put that love into my glass pieces. It's always fun opening my kiln every morning to see if the dance with the properties of heating the glass (fusing) and the glass has transformed into what I had in my mind. It's a bit like Christmas morning everyday at my studio. It's a fine line to walk between the chemistry of the glass and my artistic creativity and always keeps me challenged to learn more.
