Artist Statement
I am a Seattle-based visual artist. I started painting in 2021 after graduating from college and moving back to the Pacific Northwest. My work centers on memory, identity, and the quiet dignity of everyday objects. Through thick, layered applications of paint, I explore shadow, form, and ordinary beauty, rendering the world as I experience it. While my practice began in acrylic and watercolor, my recent shift to oil painting has deepened my engagement with texture and depth, allowing for a greater exploration of light, relationship, and presence.
