From teaching art, painting live and touring with electronic bands, Daniel Gilbreath has a multitude of techniques he combines to create his vibrantly colored acrylic paintings. He allows his work to vary from realism to abstract without losing his deep love for bright and bold colors.

In 2017, Daniel completed the series “Odyssey of Life,” which captures the chaos in planning everyday life. Slow and purposeful brushstrokes, which create bold blocks of color, are smeared and dissected with quick eccentric brushstrokes.

Daniel Gilbreath will be working on a new series of mixed media in 2018, based on his past experiences and ideas with sculpting, woodworking and photography.
