Brett

Brett Polonsky, a Seattle area mixed media artist that creates pieces that are built using multiple layers and texture where sometimes only small “windows” of earlier layers are visible. Brett often adds words or phrases directly on the piece, some visible, many covered completely. These capture the immediate moment in time felt by the artist as the process unfolds. Brett uses palette knives, brushes, towels and his hands to move the paint across the canvas as he moves the piece towards moments of visual interest and towards the finished piece.
