Fun With Watercolor for Kids
A series of four classes, designed for kids age 7 – 12 who would like to build their artistic abilities with watercolor. Classes include how to do washes, brushstrokes, pouring (very fun for kids), layering and removing. We explore what water does to the watercolor paint, including paint blooms, scrubbing, removing, stamping and torn paper. All classes explore drawing to get the basics of form and shape, and we strive to get a painting out of each session.

Classes meet every Saturday, April 15 – May 6, 10:00am to 12:00pm

Price for a four-class session: $95

Howard Frank is a local watercolor, acrylic and oil painter with an Arts and Sciences degree from the University of Washington, and has studied watercolor, acrylic and oil with noted instructors. His work has been accepted into numerous northwest shows, including Edmonds, Kenmore and Shoreline. He currently teaches adults and kids at Northwest Art Center in Duvall. Mr. Frank shows his work at Sorrento’s Coffee Shop at the Marketplace at Redmond Ridge and Rustic Cabin Coffee Shop in Duvall. Howard is also a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society.

Tsuga Fine Art displays two- and three-dimensional original artwork, offers custom picture framing with craftsman quality, and an art studio where small classes are taught by local artists. The shop is in the heart of Historic Downtown Bothell, on the corner of Main Street and 101st Avenue NE. Gallery events include exhibit openings, art lectures, musical performances and poetry nights. It is also available for private events.
