On Women Bound – A One Women Show by Jane Caminos

February 8 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 12:00pm on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until February 29, 2020

FOGUE STUDIOS & GALLERY hosts the exhibition of narrative artist Jane Hickey Caminos’ thought provoking series of activist paintings: “On Women Bound”. This exhibition continues through February 29, 2020.

“Turning Victims into the Victorious “

“The intent of ‘On Women Bound’ is to increase awareness of crimes against the female gender, be they a culture away or an incidence of domestic violence in a nearby couple’s kitchen. I understand that as an artist, I have a responsibility to use my gift to help these millions of traumatized women. I want the paintings to generate a dialogue that will be carried from the exhibition out to others.”- Caminos

About Jane

Caminos grew up in Pompton Lakes, New Jersey and received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1969. She worked in the book publishing trade in Boston and New York as an illustrator, art director, and in management before establishing an independent design and illustration studio.
