Norwegian-Sámi singing legend Mari Boine brings her unclassifiable and powerful sound to the Museum as part of a rare US concert tour. A genre-bending trailblazer with a taste for jazz, folk, rock, and world music, she is an artist whose music is infused with her Sámi roots. For over thirty years she has served as an inspiration to indigenous performers world-wide with her powerful vocal range in Norwegian, English, and traditional yoik.
