Collections and Transitions: A Way of Seeing
This exhibition explores natural processes based on growth, decay and transition expressed the mediums of porcelain, metal, and paintings.
Carolyn’s keen eye observes the revolving cycle of growth and decay as it is often presented in clusters or collections – seeds or seed pods, nature’s detritus collected in a shallow pool or crevice, or sea life. Accidental groupings like these lend a kind of beauty in a fleeting moment before materials shift again, representative of the temporal state of all living things.
