TEENS INVITED TO EXPERIENCE ELLES AT SAM’S TEEN NIGHT OUT

The Seattle Art Museum invites teenagers to delve into the ground breaking world of Elles: Women Artists from the Centre Pompidou, Paris and Elles:SAM; Singular Works by Seminal Women Artists at Teen Night Out. Teen Night Out will be held at SAM Downtown on December 7, 2012 from 7-10 pm.
This free event features DJs, teen art tours, an open mic and neo drop-in art activities inspired by artists from the exhibits to get the creative juices flowing. Teens pay no entrance fee and have access to Elles: Women Artists from the Centre Pompidou, Paris, Elles: SAM – Singular Works by Seminal Women Artists and other SAM Collection Galleries throughout the evening.
Event Details:
- DJ Sharlese spins pop, hip-hop, soul and local favorites all night long.
Learn and experience an American Tribal Style Belly Dance from Skin Deep Dance joined by Deep SEEDs - All night art making activities include: button making, silk screening and henna tattoos.
- Test your geeky metal with the ladies from GeekGirlCon at their “Ten Things I Know About You” trivia game.
- Rock the night away with live performances from Rain City Rock Camp for Girls.
- Embellish your own image a la Frida Cahlo and Cindy Sherman with artist Elizabeth Humphrey.
