While I’m not personally familiar with the art center or the building, I do like to support a good community cause. White Center for the Arts is an emerging nonprofit community arts organization and they are trying to save/buy the old skate building in White Center that they currently occupy. If they don’t raise enough money for this historic building, it will most likely be turned into a light industry factory. It is perfect as a community cultural center for arts, education, performance, and history. It has always been community venue.

It looks like White Center for the Arts may get to keep the building. Details will follow when the arrangements are complete. Thank you for putting the word out. May 16th is White Center for the Arts’ Open Studio Tour, from 5 PM until 10 PM. There will be eight artists’ work shown, and delicious treats served.
